Plasma makes great first impression
for
e-business services firm
United
installs Pioneer displays at Diamond Technology Partners
From
the moment you step through the door at Diamond Technology Partners
(Nasdaq DTPI) in Chicago or San Francisco, you can feel the aggressive,
cutting edge atmosphere that this e-business services firm likes to
convey to its visitors. A bigger-than-life version of the company web
page is the first thing you see, coming to life in living, almost breathing
color on a 50" Pioneer plasma monitor on the reception room wall. Diamond
is a company that knows how to look good, both on the web and off.
And for them, including the world wide web in their reception areas
isn't unusual. After all, that's where they do business.
Diamond
Technology Partners is in the business of helping companies develop and
implement strategies for succeeding in the digital age. If you've ever
thought about taking your company from the ledger book to the world wide
web you know how intimidating the idea can be. Putting their site on the
reception area plasmas promises a commitment to all the best that technology
has to offer.
Diamond's technology advisor, Todd Clark, says each monitor makes a great first impression.
"It presents a high tech image which our employees and clients truly admire. Everyone
that comes into our office loves the look and functionality of the monitor."
One of the more attractive features of a plasma monitor is its
slimness. United was able to hang the monitors on Diamond's reception
area walls because each is less than four inches deep and weighs less
than 100 pounds. The size and brightness of the plasma was important,
too, as was its crisp XGA resolution. United's Doug Carnell comments,
"there was no way we could have matched the plasma's image quality, size,
or impressiveness in such a brightly lit reception area, unless we projected
onto a rear screen, and that would have required a projection booth. Plasma
was the obvious choice."
Once installed, each monitor was wired to a hidden laptop. A wireless
keyboard and mouse gives immediate web access to any visitor. Clark
says the plasma monitors welcome interaction. You cannot help but be
drawn to the images it displays. Diamond Technologies has found a way
to catch both your eye and your imagination.
