Cable television and DTV
What
about digital signals from cable?
Digital cable signals
are expected to be available in mid-1998. You will need to connect
a digital cable box to a DTV to enjoy the full benefits of the
digital programming. An alternative is to convert the cable’s
digital signal to analog. You will need to purchase a down converter
cable box and connect it to your cable and analog TV. You will
see the programming, but not get all the digital video and audio
performance benefits of a DTV receiver.
