While a number of businesses and other organizations across the country have realized the cost benefits and improved networking efficiency that can be achieved from visual conferencing technologies, it turns out that the federal government has been slow in its adoption of multipoint conference solutions.

According to a recent report from Telework Exchange, about 89 percent of federal employees rely on telephones for communication, and 95 percent of the survey's respondents used email for monthly communications, Nextgov reported.
